The meat selection is awesome but their pricing is slanted to the tourist crowd. Most locals avoid this place and drive to lehighton.
It's a meat store that happens to have groceries, or at least that's my impression. Meat is good, rather old school like with cases full of meat and a real meat cutter who waits on you. Groceries are pricey and selection is limited (especially vegetables), and the hours are limited. They have one credit/debit card machine. Go to Blakeslee or Jim Thorpe if you're really grocery shopping and don't need just one or two items.
Overpriced. Only one card machine. Cooked foods very good, so the one star. Behind the deli lady always miserable. Don't like your job, get another one. If there was competition near by I don't think they would make it.
A good place to get last minute camping gear at a fair price
The prices on most foods here are unusually high, but the meat selection is amazing. It is a real butcher shop that will do custom cuts for you. Truly the best meat selections around. I like to shop the weekly specials here because it is definately worth it if you value great tasting freshly butchered meat. I have also purchased potato, pasta and egg salad as well as cole slaw at reasonable prices and great taste. The staff is always pleasant and helpful.
